Saint Lucia was to host a historic ceremony to launch the emerging thoroughbred racing industry and The Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club as part of a major new tourism offering, designed and created by Desert Star Holding (DSH) Ltd. His Royal Highness Prince Henry, Duke of Sussex (Prince Harry) would not be the only high-profile official to attend the groundbreaking ceremony. Guests included then Prime Minister Hon. Allen Chastanet, Ministers of Government, Chairman of the China Horse Club International Advisory Council and Bloodstock Advisor for HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Hon. John Warren, Chairman of DSH Caribbean Star Ltd. and China Horse Club, Mr. Teo Ah Khing, the Board of Directors and Management of Invest Saint Lucia and other invited guests. This event would require of Accela a level of Event Management beyond just the ordinary media launch.
Accela mobilized a core team of the island’s best suppliers in the events industry along with its own internal team. Detailed specs, plans and scheduling were drawn up and the company immersed itself in ensuring all of its designated teams were fully abreast of the requirements and protocols.
Detailed site preparation, event items and setup, staffing and hospitality, security working with local police force as well as special security teams, transportation and logistics, design of invitations and press kits, media coverage and management, coordination of media interviews, full PR and media support to include press releases, video news releases, video feature, post event television airing, and a post-event cocktail. The event was a much lauded success!
